A New Blog Design!

I've redesigned my gardening blog! It's fun to change things up once in awhile and do something different. Though I don't post here as often as my book blog, I do enjoy flowers and gardening very much. So when I get a chance, I love to share photos, tidbits and poems.

I really love the new design and blog button...hope you do too. :)

Flowers at Seattle's Public Market

Recently I visited Seattle and one of my favorite places was the Public Market. If I lived in Seattle I'd definitely shop down there a lot! Especially for the flowers!

Wow! I couldn't believe how beautiful and colorful the flowers were. And how inexpensive. I'd pay at least $30.00 for a bunch of flowers at home, that only cost $5.00 here at the Public Market! I was so temped to buy some but wasn't sure I'd get them over the border alive. :)

The Lamb

Little Lamb, who made thee?

My Lavender

Lavender is another great flower for an English looking garden. I especially love it's shade of purple and it's tall delicate stems.

My favorite variety is 'English Lavender' which I have in my front garden.

Campanulas

Campanulas, also know as bellflowers, are so pretty! I love the old English garden look of these flowers.

 I love so many things about them. They grow really well and come back year after year, they don't take over your garden, they are easy to transplant and they can brighten up any corner of the garden.
